Type of wine: Dry Red Wine
Appellation: Protected Geographical Indication Drama.
Varietals: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Cabernet Franc.
Production Area: Northern Greece, in Macedonia, at the local communities of Agora, Pigadia, Adriani, in the valley and the low hills on the South-East of Drama town.
Vineyards: Linear planting, north-south orientation. Gently sloping vineyards, with sandy-clay soils of average composition.
Harvest: September.
Vinification Method: Classic red wine vinification with a long extraction, followed by 16-18 months in new French oak barrels and 18-24 months in the bottle in ideal cellarage conditions.
Alcohol: 14,7%
Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red color. Clear typical aromas of red forest fruits, blueberry, gooseberry, wild fig and black cherry, in a perfect combination with these of the French oak. Munificent, velvet and impressive body. Balanced acidity accompanied with smooth, rich tannin and long aftertaste.
Aging: Will respond well to aging for up to 10-15 years after harvest.
Perfect Pairing: With red meat dishes in intricate sauces, game birds and other game meat and ripe spicy cheeses.
Serving Temperature: 18-20oC
